Dividends
A fee slot that pays the launch's holders, in the launch's pairing asset.
A launch can route part of its fee to the people holding it. Everyone holding at least 10,000 of that token earns a share proportional to their balance, and withdraws when they choose.
Who earns
- Any address holding at least 10,000 tokens — a millionth of the supply. Below that, an address earns nothing while it is below.
- Not the curve, and not the pool. Both hold supply on behalf of other people rather than for themselves, and counting them would divert the whole stream into a contract.
- Not the burn address. Nobody holds its key, so anything credited there could never be withdrawn by anyone, and the living holders’ share would shrink for it.
How accrual works
A deposit does not walk the holders — that would be unbounded work, and an eligibility rule based on an absolute balance puts no ceiling on how many holders there are. Instead each deposit raises a per-share accumulator, and each holder carries a correction term recorded when their balance last moved. What you are owed is the difference.
The practical consequences: crossing the threshold changes what you accrue from that point on and never retroactively, and dropping below it does not forfeit what you had already accrued. Your eligibility is re-tested whenever your balance moves.
A deposit that arrives when nobody is eligible is not lost. It is carried and folded into the next one.
One asset per launch
A launch pays dividends in one asset, fixed by its first deposit, which in practice is its pairing asset. That is a deliberate limit: shares are per launch while the accumulator is per asset, so a second asset would mean updating a correction for every asset on every transfer of the token — unbounded work in the token’s own transfer path.
Withdrawing
You withdraw when you like, and anyone may pay the gas to withdraw for you: the funds go to the owner regardless of who sent the transaction, so doing it for a stranger is a favour and never a way in. If you hold no gas at all, you can sign an authorisation letting the cost be taken out of the amount — see Earnings and claims.
Withdrawal is pull, not push. Pushing payouts at deposit time would let a single address that cannot accept a transfer stall every other holder in the launch.
A dividend is a share of trading fees, and nothing more. It is not interest, not a yield, and not a promise of any return. It exists while a creator routes a fee to it and while the launch is being traded, and it stops when either stops.
